The history of TAIF begins with foundation of a foreign trade and science-and-production
association “Kazan” (VTNPO “Kazan”) that was taking the first steps in business in a
complicated period of formation of a new Russian government. It was a small yet very professional team that
provided a basis for establishment of a Public Stock Company “TAIF” in August 1995. There were
only 4 employees in VTNPO “Kazan” at the beginning. Today over 50 thousand employees work in
TAIF Group of Companies.
The main business line of TAIF, as planned, became implementation of investment
programs of priority importance for the economy of Tatarstan and Russia. The company not only was growing and
developing along with the market but also provided an impact on its development and formation.
This is how the concept of TAIF emerged as one among the first Tatrstan brands, a
popular trade mark, and a symbol of noble power and high-quality performance.
Today TAIF is a huge production and investment company possessing significant assets
and enormous production capacities, flexible and high-level management. TAIF Group comprising 67 subsidiaries
and affiliated companies operates in various areas with the following major fields of activity: oil and gas
processing and petrochemistry, telecommunication, building and construction, banking and investments, and
services. All the enterprises are closely interconnected in terms of finances, engineering, technologies, and
management.
Development and prosperity of TAIF Company and its affiliates contributes –
directly or indirectly – to the improvement of economical and social spheres in Tatarstan and, ultimately,
to the wealth of its residents. To be in the vanguard of the enterprises serving to the progress of Tatarstan and
